- i am so upset right now. i keep looking at the schedule wrong and i was completely surprised by a math quiz today. it was so frustrating because i understand all the concepts except i didn’t know the formulas and i can’t believe this happened to me and ughhhh
- in history we watched a movie and then had a quiz because my life sucks
- during lunch i had to go work on a lab with my pdp group
- and then since we did all the work during lunch we just sat there during bio…
- today pretty much sucked
Today we told stories in lit: each member of our class had to come up to the front, pick up a prompt, and tell the class a one minute story. It was wonderful and I left the period with fuzzy feels towards everyone. I think I spoke about my issues with reading in bed, and how it leads to entirely sleepless nights.
I love storytelling this is my favorite unit ever and also we’re reading The Things They Carried and excerpts from Bird by Bird

- today was a really nice day!
- in photo we talked and did homework and also our usual random nonsense
- then in lit we listened to everyone who didn’t tell stories yet do that and mr. carpenter told more amazing stories (seriously he is such a good story teller) and he read out loud this story from the point of view of this guy getting shot in the head in the middle of this bank robbery and it was just amazing
- yay lit is really nice lately
- then i had spanish which was ew
- but i got to go home early because tuesday, yayyyy
- school was pretty boring today…
- except lit because lit was amazing
- almost everyone in our class was gone for an ap test so there were only 11 kids and we all had to go up and pick a topic from a box and tell a story and mr carpenter and everyone had really interesting stories and luckily i picked a pet experience which i have lots of good stories for, and i think everyone liked my story because they laughed and were encouraging so that was nice
- and since there was so few of us we finished really early and carpenter gave us free time and told some more stories and i got to read quintana of charyn because tanisha lent it to me and it’s amazing of course, and i love having a good book to read, so that was nice.
- we got prom pictures at lunch!! ours were pretty awkward though :(
- also we made a tight huddle and played 94 seconds which was so intense we were just yelling and jumping around because of an iphone game…
- and afterschool me and kavya walked all over school but accomplished nothing… oops
- today i went to exam club to look at the lit and math subject tests, i was pretty horrible at them
- i still signed up for those two for my subject tests because since there is literally nothing i’m good at i just need to sign up for what i fail the least at
- wow these have gotten really depressing, i basically do nothing except feel miserable about tests lately
- um… summer soon!!!
- so i spent today studying for ap tests and stressing about subject tests and just lying on my bed in a fit of despair
- i also decided to rewatch the x-factor season with cher and 1d and everything except i just skipped to all the 1d performances basically… oops
- yah it was just really sad
- i spent photo studying because ughhh bio
- and then math was useless because my group is as stupid as me so whenever it’s time for groupwork its basically just us all asking each other “do you get it? yah, me neither” soooo…
- then in lit we had a socratic seminar and it was funny because i was supposed to be in the first group except when he called my name i was still trying to find all my stuff in my gigantic mess of a binder and so i made this “ughhhh” face and he was like “OKOK, YOU CAN BE IN GROUP 2” and yay carpenter is the best (but then everyone stared at me :(( )
- but the seminar did not go well because i legitly didn’t talk at all. i don’t think it was a formal seminar or anything so it hopefully doesn’t matter but i was too busy internally freaking out and reviewing bio to pay attention and then all of a sudden the seminar was over and i didn’t even say anything…
- in history we watched more documentaries because documentaires are brilliant and it made me super happy!!
- we had an awful vocab quiz in spanish which was ridiculous, because hello, bio final?
- then i spent lunch studying more…
- finally it was my bio final which i think i failed despite everything! ugh.
- oh well, i went home and ate pizza because i’ve turned into a total fatty lately
- basically the best part of my day was watching greys anatomy because i’m really cool…
- i spent all of photo studying math
- then i took my math test, and guess what, i studied the wrong thing. i think i did horribly :(
- in lit we discussed lit crits which was fine because catcher in the rye is actually really interesting
- in history we watched more of the movie and the whole civil rights movement is so cool but we had to stop right when the childrens march part was starting which is so interesting
- spanish was nonsense…
- then at lunch i met up with zehan and we wandered around looking for cheryl and garrett but i should’ve just gotten my phone out because i had a couple missed calls from garrett… oops.
- so then we found each other and ran to garrett’s car to get away from mihir and decided to go to panera
- on the way there we were picking music to listen too and they somehow decided to plug my ipod in except all i have on that is songs from middle school, mcfly, and lots and lots of one direction…
- so we basically ended up singing along to barbie girl and laughing all the way to panera and it was really fun
- all i got was iced tea though because i wasn’t that hungry and we sat in a booth and talked and joked around until it was time to go so we went back to the car and on the way we saw a group of garrett’s friends and we started like, racing them, except not really and then we went back to school, it was a nice lunch though
- in bio we had a horrible long group test and nobody was able to finish so…
- once i got home i just studied lots of bio because i have a final tomorrow, yay.
- in math we had a binder quiz and then we switched seats! im not super psyched about my new group because they don’t seem much smarter than me and i need a lot of help in math but my new seat is in a good corner spot so conlin can’t peer over my shoulder at my work! he does that all the time and it doesn’t even matter whether im doing it right or not the fact that he’s watching me work just makes me so anxious
- then in history we watched more of the documentary on the civil rights movement and it’s really interesting! i love watching movies in history
- bio was ew
- after school i had to go see my awful dentist who gave me a retainer which i’m supposed to wear all the time for a couple of months, but yeah right…
- that took way too long and then i finally went home to work on my homework, how exciting.
